Report on the humanitarian crisis in Kalemie which host war victims from Goma, Bukavu and Uvira
The Global Refugee Leaders (GRL) initiative is essential in addressing the unique challenges faced by refugee leaders, individuals who are pivotal in supporting, guiding, and advocating for refugee communities. Refugee leaders often operate with limited resources and little recognition, despite their critical roles in providing information, organizing community services, and offering support to those in need. Without adequate support, their initiatives frequently struggle or cease to exist, especially when leaders themselves face hardships or resettlement. GRL was founded to bridge these gaps, offering resources, training, and protection to empower refugee leaders and sustain their vital work. This support not only uplifts individual leaders but also strengthens entire refugee communities by fostering a more stable, connected, and resilient network of leadership. By focusing on refugee leaders, GRL creates lasting impact, ensuring that these leaders can continue to advocate for, protect, and improve the lives of their communities around the world.
