Gratitude to Childrens Rights Innovation Funds for supporting our project in North Kivu

With the current rude violence of war in both North Kivu and South Kivu, children and women are among highly affected people, facing various abuses and living in unbearable conditions either in camps or in their villages.

In order to promote their voices during the whole decision making process and ensure they are include and consulted by decision-makers at each level, the Collective of Youth Organizations for Solidarity in the Democratic Republic of Congo has received a grant from the Childrens Rights Innovation Funds, for a period of one year in order to advance childrens rights to participate in decision making.

We remain thankful to our donors who have supported us and shown a great solidarity with children in difficult situations in the Democratic Republic of Congo will benefit from this project. Generally this project was planned to start in May 2025 in Goma and other parts in North Kivu which is currently occupied by armed groups.

Plans are already ongoing to come up with implementation in areas that are accessible in North Kivu Province and in case that may be a challenge we shall engage with donor for other alternatives.

We call upon other donors to support our activities in Eastern DRC during this very difficult moment especially at this moment when many relief agencies left leaving vulnerable people without help.

Thank you so much once again, Childrens Rights Innovation Funds for supporting us.
